I am a bad man.
Working through Michael Ruhlman's Ratio, and noticed a recipe for Butterscotch Sauce with just a few ingredients (dark brown sugar, butter, cream, salt, apple cider vinegar and vanilla extract) and only about 20 minutes to make, end-to-end. Gave it a go, and the next thing you know, I ended up with this:
My wife's reaction? Yeah, basically what you'd imagine.
